"There are." He is very red, by now.

"Not many but ... um there apparently was... a study made of such things. I do not know the author, for the text is quite old and well hidden."

He blinks. "Well yes...."

Normally she would tease him for how flushed he is, but fortunately (or unfortunately) she is still too distracted. "What an astonishing idea." She shakes her head, amazed. "We have songs, many of them, but most are....comic in their descriptions, rather than...instructional. I would never have imagined putting such information in a book."

The Eorlingas do not have many books, prefer more oral traditions, and the books they have are more for archival purposes: histories, herbals, lore. This seems almost too frivolous or common a subject for a book, for all their inexperience.

But now her mouth quirks. "I wish I might have seen it, while I was in Minas Tirith. What was in it, to make you blush so?"

"It... um. Appeared to be a treatise on... how best to please one's wife." he admits shyly. "It was... educational, although of course, I do not know if it was... accurate."

Her eyes glint with mischief. "So then, your research remains incomplete until you can put it into practice." As though idly, one of her fingers traces along the skin just above the collar of his shirt. "Did you want some assistance with that? Purely in the interests of scholarly achievement, of course." A grin flickers across her face. "And what made you go looking for such a book to begin with?"

Faramir wonders if one can combust from embarassment.

"Well. When one puts it that way... yes"

He smiles shyly at her. "Well I... wanted to make sure, when... we started to decide on marriage. But I have never... been with a woman. And... well. People do talk. But I was never sure how much was a soldier's bravado. So... "

Eowyn knows she should probably have mercy on her betrothed, but she cannot but find his blushes adorable. At that small, almost whispered 'yes' she leans up to kiss him again, which at least gives him a few moment's respite from questioning.

After that she rests her head on his shoulder. "I had not realized you were...concerned. Most people seem to manage, and with great enthusiasism; I had assumed we would also." Her arm tightens around his waist. "And I trust you to be gentle, in this as in all things. Surely it cannot be so very difficult a matter."

"Well I hoped so but... I wanted to be sure." He is only too glad to hold her close, burying his red face in her hair.

"I wanted to make sure I pleased you."

"You do." No jesting now, just a quiet, joyous truth. "And for all my teasing, I am most touched that you have put so much thought and care into this."

But she cannot help but chuckle, just a little. "Though I do hope you will show me that book, in time. By then perhaps we will be better able to judge its accuracy."

He smiles at her shyly, the blush settling.

"I just wanted to do my best for you. I am glad you approve."

Then she says that, and the blush returns.

"Well. If you wanted, I can of course show you when we return to Gondor..."

"Please do."

There is much more she could say, and more questions she has, but for the moment she spares him, instead tilting her head up to take another kiss, deep and prolonged, her mouth opening against his.

Faramir's blush settles as he kisses her back, happy to pull her close.

"I will commission a copy, if you like."

"Mm." A non-committal murmur against his mouth, for Eowyn is letting her attention turn to other things, one arm wound around his waist and the other resting on his chest. "Perhaps. For comparison, later, or for further instruction."

For it is very likely that by the time she returns to Minas Tirith, they will already be wed, regardless of if other events happen to preface the wedding.

"A private copy would be better for that." He dares to point out, shyly, and tugs her closer in turn so he can kiss her deeper.

"It would." Another murmur between kisses, her voice low and inviting. She hadn't intended a seduction here, for all her teasing earlier, but she certainly is not objecting. "So we could look at it in bed, and do our research freely, without observation. Or interruption."

"It would be wise to ... ensure the veracity of such reports." He agrees, gone somewhat breathless again. "I think... I could ... practice at least those things that did not run the risk of children, if you wanted?"

"Yes." A whisper of a word between kisses, mouths pulling at mouths, tongues darting to touch each other and hands tangled in each other's hair. "Yes."

He shivers, a pleased rumble of sound in his chest at the way she reacts to him, hands skimming down to cup her hips and drag her close to him.

It does not take much effort on his part; Eowyn willingly lets herself be pulled as close as might be, molding her body against his, thigh to thigh and chest to chest. Breaking off their kiss, she instead kisses his neck, then bites lightly, remembering another time when he reacted well to that.

He gasps when she does.

"Eowyn!"

"Was this not in your book?" Another kiss to soothe the place, and another bite further along, and so she proceeds.

He groans again, neck arching as his hands flex on her hips.

"N-not quite exactly this way? But I am not adverse to... ah... embroidering around the theme."

Her breath catches when he groans, when his hands tighten on her. Oh, she likes that reaction, clings to him all the more and leans up so she can better reach him. "Surely as a scholar you would not--" She kisses his ear, then nibbles on the earlobe. "--limit yourself to only one source?"

"A-ah! N-no. True it is that.. one should investigate... thoroughly. If the lady would...not mind a little experimentation!"

She laughs a little, giddy at his distraction. "How many times must I say 'yes' before you take me at my word?"

"Well," He manages breathlessly. "One must make sure that you are aware of my inexperience, of course. Here? Now?"
