"Well, we can always change it." Faramir agrees, turning a little to hold her closer.

"No. It was... amazing, seeing you so wild and beautiful. You are so lovely, like that."

They face each other, lying naked together on the spring grasses, and Éowyn has never been so content. She strokes his face, brushing hair away from his eyes, clear and grey and joyous as he looks back at her. "I did not think you using your mouth there would have so strong an effect," she admits, flushing a little. "I hope we may try that again!"

"Nor I!" He grins shyly at her. "I certainly liked how it made you react, when I took my mouth away. We will most certainly have to try that again."

She flushes more deeply, but is smiling. "It was..." She lets out a breath. "I think I understand the meaning of the word 'ecstacy' now. I had thought I knew after last night, but now I know better." She kisses him again, sliding her hand along his side. "I would like to make you react like that."

He kisses back.

"I am, obviously, quite happy to experiment!"

"And so we shall." Days and nights all to themselves, for nothing but such experiments...Eowyn shivers in happy anticipation. "I already have some ideas. But for now, my dearest heart, we should get up, little though I wish to."

"Mph." He mumbles, and opens his eyes with a sigh.

"I suppose we have made our poor guards wait long enough! And we probably should aim to reach shelter by tonight."

But despite his words he rolls over to kiss her soundly, first.

She would comment archly that their guards were welcome to return to Edoras if they grew impatient, but then he is kissing her once more, and she melts against him, twining her arms around his neck. She sighs deeply, happily. "I do not think I will ever grow tired of this."

He chuckles.

"That is well, for I would hate for us to be bored of each other!"

He is happy, here with her in his arms beneath the blue, blue sky. But they cannot stay, and so reluctantly, he sits up, untangling himself from her arms.

"Never." She strokes his face once more before he sits, and with a sigh she joins him, stretching her arms above her head and blinking in the sunlight.

She gets to her feet, still bare. "I think I will wash in the stream a little, before dressing once more." She smiles down at him, holding out a hand. "Join me?"

"I think we need to!" He grimaces at her playfully, accepting the hand up.

"We are both, as you said, rather sticky."

She pulls him to his feet--then stands there's still handfast, smiling up at him. They stand bare and alone in the sunlight and the warm spring air, as though they are the only two people in the world, the first children of Eru to walk the earth.

Éowyn reaches up and caresses his face. "I love thee." Her hair ripples in the breeze and her face is bright with joy.

He looks at her, bare and free and kisses her.

"And I love thee, my joy and my heart."

Free...that is the word, yes, that is how she feels as she tilts her head to meet his kiss, stepping into his arms. Entirely unfettered.

Even by clothing, and that makes her laugh a little, which breaks the kiss. She keeps his hand in hers as she walks down to the stream, flinching a little at the chill. "Be prepared," she warns, still smiling. "The waters of the Snowbourn live up to their name!"

This is not the proper river but a smaller offshoot; even so, it is cold.

He shouts, a breathless laugh as he steps in after her.

"Ai! Truly well named."

There is much laughter and much shivering in turn, and no small amount of playful splashing as they wash themselves and each other. The water sparkles like mithril in the sun. "If I remember right, there is a large bathtub at the hunting lodge," Eowyn says, splashing two cupped hands worth of water over her shoulders. Her eyes are gleaming. "One that might be large enough for us both, if that catches your fancy."

Faramir ducks his head under and comes up with a splash in her direction.

"Only so long as the water is warm!" He laughs, and feeling himself clean enough, makes for dry land.

She laughs, twisting her half-wet hair over her shoulder, wringing the water out of the tips. "We will heat it ourselves," she promises. "And I will undertake to keep you warm."

More than a little suggestion to that promise, and in her smile as she walks out of the stream with him.

"Hm, that sounds most enticing." He grins back at her as he dresses. "I will have to endeavour to do the same!"

She ties her hair back in a loose braid, then dresses herself. She steals another lingering, entirely smug kiss before they remount and resume their journey. "You have not told me," she says as they wheel around to return to the main road. "If you missed having a mattress."

He looks startled, and then he laughs.

"I had almost forgotten! But no, I do not believe I did." He smiles at her. "You were, indeed, most convincing!"

They are holding hands once more, and Eowyn still looks radiant in her joy and ease. "I am glad my arguments were persuasive." She squeezes his fingers. "But we should make up some of this lost time. Both our mounts would like a gallop, I think, or at least some faster pace."

"I would be glad to repeat this argument with you as many times as you please." He agrees with a smile.

"A race then?"

"Beware what you promise, Man of Gondor," she warns, her eyes twinkling. "Lest I keep you at that work for so long your tongue falls out of your head!"

"A very terrible threat." He laughs. "One I will do my utmost to not succumb to!"

He grins at her and then touches his heel to his mare's side, shifting his weight in the saddle to encourage her to pick up her heels and run, leaving Eowyn behind for that brief second with a laugh.
