She laughs a little at that, though quietly, mindful not to wake Elboron. "Put like that," she says, her voice suddenly lower and more husky, "how can I refuse?"

This time her kiss is not quick. Her mouth is already open for his when they join, and then it is a slow dance of tongues, that heady mix of contentment and the rumbling undercurrent of desire that two years of marriage has made so familiar, and so necessary. She sighs after a few moments, pulling away just enough to murmur. "You are right; it is much, much too long since we have had time for this."

And much longer since there was anything more--not since before the birth, for Eowyn needed time to recover and they have both simply been exhausted. But even just this unhurried, sweet enjoyment of each other's mouths, even that has been much too rare of late. She cannot clearly remember the last time they managed it.

"Far too long." He agrees, a little breathless as he always gets when they kiss, and he is swift to press more kisses against her.

"I am glad we were able to spare this time!"

The way he quickly becomes lost in kisses, breathless and distracted, never fails to flatter and please Eowyn. She laughs quietly, framing his face in her hands. "But surely you did not arrange this excursion, all this way, solely to have a quiet place to kiss your wife for a time?"

"And what if I did?" He smiles into the kisses, nuzzles against her cheek and then lower, pressing kisses down the curve of her neck.

"Mayhaps I just wanted lots and lots of time to kiss my wife!"

"It seems to me you could have found a simpler way!" For all her protest she is quick and willing to tilt her head and give him access to her neck, her hands sliding down to rest on his chest and hip. "One that...needed less travel, and...mm...included someone else to watch Elboron..."

And less chance of any of those who still man the garrison at Henneth Annun interrupting, though that, at least, he has likely seen to.

"Well, one must admit that we were unlikely to get this much peace at home..." He murmurs, kissing his way down.

"Although more babysitters, this is true."

She shivers, gasping as his lips drift down to her neck, and grips at his shirt with startled fingers. "Faramir--" She sounds surprised as much as pleased. "Are you seducing me? Here, now?"

For that, she did not expect. It has been many, many months now since...well. Since more than kissing and perhaps a little more indecorous behaviour has been managed. Since before Elboron was born.

And it has been...awkward. She needed to heal, yes, but also her body changed so much during the pregnancy, and there has been no time for thinking and less for sleeping and less still for talking, and...and oh, how she has missed this feeling, that warm shiver down her spine, the touch of his mouth on her skin...and yet..."Are you sure? The Rangers might return, or Elboron awaken..." But she nuzzles her cheek against his hair, even as he kisses her neck.

"Well, I can stop if you are too tired." He nuzzles against her neck. "But Elboron is fast asleep and none of the rangers are in the cave and won't enter until you or I call for them..."

She is tired, from the long ride and from many nights of not quite enough sleep. But she has missed her husband's touch more, and strokes his back in encouragement, tilting her neck to make it easier for him. "You seem to have planned this most thoroughly," she murmurs, the words broken a little by a gasp partway through as his teeth graze against her skin. "It would be a pity to waste such preparation..."

"I wanted it to be something special." He agrees, nibbling delicately in the way he knows she enjoys. "And to be enjoyable even if we did not decide to lay together."

"You have certainly succeeded," she murmurs, a little breathless; he knows all her most sensitive places, all the ways she most likes to be touched, and is putting the knowledge to good use. It seems so long since she shivered like this, with pleasant warmth suffusing her...

"Ah, love..." she sighs, pulling way just enough to be able to meet his eyes, her own soft with affection. "Truly I am blessed, to have you as a husband."

He smiles back at her.

"As I am to have you as wife! Let me spoil you today, beloved."

"I cannot possibly refuse such an offer." She reaches up and caresses his face, then leans in for another kiss. "Nor do I wish to.'

"My Eowyn." He kisses back, sweet and slow and gentle. "My joy, my heart."

She closes her eyes, breathing in the smell of him. "Entirely yours," she whispers. At least, until Elboron wakens...but for now she will keep her attention on Faramir. "As you are mine, my light and my love." Another kiss, another sweet slide of their mouths.

He checks briefly on the bundle of furs that is their son, happily snoozing away, and knows that all going well he has at least a good hour before he wakes.

Turning his full attention back to Eowyn he brings his hands up to reach for her skirts, teasingly hitching them up slowly.

She smiles against his mouth as his hands slide up her legs, and in turn she reaches for the buttons of his tunic, undoing them with deft fingers.

This is a dance they know well, although both will have to be a little quieter, so as not to stir Elboron too early, and he teases, dragging lines up the inside of her thigh without actually reaching her apex.

Being quiet goes against Eowyn's instincts, but she will manage. She has to stifle a gasping laugh as Faramir's hands wander up her legs. Tempting, tempting and teasing, as he well knows..."Much too soon for that, my heart," she whispers. "You will need to...be attentive elsewhere, first..."

As she demonstrates, letting her mouth drift down to his jaw and neck, tasting his skin.

His head tips back and he bites his lip to stifle the moan.

"Mm, very well, let me pay proper attention to my lady!" He nudges her back to tend to her neck instead, the teasing graze of teeth.

"Let us pay proper attention to each other," she corrects him, though she leans her head back, her breath catching. She so loves it when he uses his teeth...her still-busy hands manage to undo the last of his buttons, and she slides the tunic over his shoulders. "I will not have my lord neglected!"

"My wife is most kind." he smiles, nipping cheerfully before pulling back just far enough to help her get his tunic off.

"It is the least I may I do," she says, as together they strip him until he is barechested. Her face is lit with pleasure and anticipation, erasing the lines of exhaustion from the past months. "For so considerate a husband."

He kisses her sweetly.

"It is my honor as a husband to be considerate to so loving a wife."

His own hands are busy with her laces, which, in fairness, are much less fiddly while she is nursing.

"Enough of this courtesy," Eowyn says firmly, helping him to remove her dress, then pulling him down to lie on the pile of blankets and furs. In retrospect she should have realized he had plans for this, given how comfortable and warm a makeshift bed he has provided, with covers to protect them from the chill air near the waterfall. She lifts a hand to his face. "Your words are sweet, love, but our time is short and we should find other uses for our mouths." Her answering kiss is not sweet but demanding, even forceful. Eowyn is never hesitant once she has made up her mind towards some end.
