"You are a warrior of Gondor. I am sure you could muster up the stamina if required." She trails her nails lightly down his back as she says it, teasing.

He shivers, a breathless laugh.

"My lady sets a very high bar! And I am sure I could... rise to the occasion. But perhaps not quite this moment."

"No," she agrees, settling her hand on his back. "No, I am not at all inclined to move at this moment, nor to let you move. Further duties must wait for another day. Or another night." She kisses his forehead. "I think we have been more than dutiful enough for now."

He pulls her close with a content sound.

"That is well, for this bed, I find, is most comfortable, and I am loth to move from it."

She chuckles. "Since I am serving as your pillow, I will take that as a compliment. Though I agree that this bed is more than worth the wait. I do not think I will miss camping out of doors for a while, with such comforts to tempt us."

"A most delectable pillow." He smiles and shifts to press a kiss against the closest bit of skin - that it happens to be a breast is an accident. Really. *cough*

"I agree - and I should hope that the guestbeds are in equally good state, as I would not stint our visitors!"

"I'm sure the guestbeds have mattresses just as good. But our viitors must find their own pillows; this one is not available to any other."

She kisses his head yet again, wondering that she never seems to tire of it, or of him. Perhaps there may come a day when such actions do not delight her, but she cannot imagine it.

"I would not be terribly happy to share this one." He agrees with a smile, and kisses her breast again.

"Some joys are the better for being shared just with two."

"Indeed, and I am greedy, I fear, and not at all inclined to share." Her arms wrap around him in a loose embrace, to emphasize her point. "Generous I will be with all else our lands have to offer, but not this."

Faramir wriggles a little to kiss her properly.

"I have always prided myself on being generous and open-handed at need, but in this, I do agree. I am not inclined in the slightest to share, and do not particularly care to be considered greedy!"

She returns the kiss with slow, sleepy enthusiasm, quite worn out by the long day and their recent exertions. "It is as well that we swore an oath to each other then, my lord, since we are in like case." She kisses him again. "For I love thee too much for aught else."

There is no haste, and the heat is banked, well sated, and Faramir smiles against the langurous kisses.

"That is well, for that is my thought also. My beautiful Eowyn - how you bless me with your smiles! But we should both sleep, I think, lest we are unable to wake in the morning!"

"Mm, there will be much work to do in the morning." The thought pleases her. Eowyn likes to be busy with work worth doing, and she finds more honor in household tasks more than she once did. And there is a very great deal to oversee, plan, and rebuild. She smiles into her husband's mouth before kissing him again. "Testing the other beds, for one. Or checking this one once more, just to be sure."

"Much work, and a very pleasant, highly anticipated ending!"

"If that is to be the sum of our days from hereforth, I will be most pleased." She leans her head back on the pillow, welcoming its soft support. "I could ask for nothing better."
