She returns the kiss, smiling against his mouth. "I am not about to stop you."

She pulls away and lays her head on his chest again, sighing happily. "I am glad you suggested this day. We should take time like this more often."

"I agree." He murmurs drowsily, lulled by the warmth of her and the sun above.

"We have worked hard, this last year. I think we deserve our holiday. Perhaps we could take a proper one, soon. What do you think? A few days all to ourselves."

"I would enjoy that." She is a little drowsy herself, from warmth and comfort and relaxation. "Where would you wish to go?"

"Well, if we had only a few days, I suppose we should stay within Ithilien... perhaps we could go to Henneth Annun?"

"Hmm." She considers this. "It is very beautiful at sunset, but not exactly private." Neither is it comfortable, though Eowyn still has too much pride to mention that as a consideration.

But more to the point, Henneth Annun remains the stronghold of the rangers of Ithilien, who keep a watchful eye on Minas Morgul at the very least. "Whether you willed or no, I suspect work would find you there. Perhaps we should simply take a tent and go wandering? Or you once mentioned finding a cottage and living a simpler life for a few days, as though we were not Steward and shieldmaiden."

"True." He agrees. "And it probably would be better if we went where there are no other people. Or not many people, anyway. Perhaps we could just wander? I'm sure there are still abandoned homesteadings around where the buildings are relatively sound."

She smiles, turns her head to rest her chin on his chest so she can look at his face. "And would you catch fish or hunt wild game for our supper, while I gathered herbs and berries and mushrooms?" Her eyes twinkle at him. "And what would we do with ourselves the rest of the time? Spend it all in bed?" She lets her hand wander south and brush against him, a light, deliberate tease to make him laugh

"It is a good time for fishing..." He muses back at her with a laugh that breaks into a hiss as she teases.

"We could." He reaches up to kiss her with more heat than before. "We might not eat much, if so!"

"Mm, hunting and gathering and fishing would still leave many hours in the day unaccounted for." She chuckles into this more heated kiss, pleased by his reaction. "Many hours. I do not think even we could fill them with such activity."

"This is true in theory." He manages, groaning into the kiss. "But what if I could not catch anything, nor you?"

This is more reaction than she intended to provoke, but she is not complaining. "I have faith in your skill, my beloved lord." Her lips tug at his, still teasing. "But we might bring supplies with us. Just in case."

"That might be a good idea, else we might get... distracted." He agrees, one hand skimming along her side and back to reach her dress ties.

She laughs with mock-reproval, leaning up a little on her hands so she can look down at him, her hair spilling around her face. "Again, my lord? Was this morning not enough for you?" Judging by her smile, she is just as willing now as she was then, as she ever is.

"My lady can hardly blame me when she makes such a delectable argument otherwise!" He retorts, mock severely, and slips a hand under her loosening corset.

They should go somewhere with a lake. She can't swim much.

"Which argument was it that so persuaded you? For I recall none." She grins, though it's lost as she shivers delightfully when his fingers find her skin once more. "Unless it was the bawdy singing. Should I sing thus for you more often?"

Another innuendo in those words, and now her hands too are wandering, as she undoes the laces and buttons of his shirt.

Faramir is happy to teach her~

"I would certainly not refuse any songs my lady cares to grace me with." he grins. "Although perhaps not in public, depending on the lyrics..."

He teases, skimming along her hips.

That was my thought! Find a cottage by a lake, Faramir. :)

"No, certain of my songs are only for your ears." She says it with mock solemnity and a twinkle in her eyes, and leans down to kiss his cheek, then tug lightly at his ear with her teeth, and whisper, "Especially the notes I sing when you bring me to my greatest pleasure." She flicks her tongue in his ear. "My lord."

He shivers, his voice gone rough.

"Those songs are most precious to me." He manages to agree. "For they are proof that I please my lady well."

Cannot imagine Faramir doing dramatic posing. Trying. Failing. ;)

"So you do." She chuckles low, loving the roughness in his voice and what it means. Once more she kisses his ear, and his neck, and then she sits up, the better to undo the buttons of his shirt. The sun shines through the leaves overhead, catching in her hair.

He looks up and sees the sun in her hair, and his breath catches in wonder.

"Are you sure you are mortal, my love, see how the sun rings your head in a golden crown!"

Boromir was a genius at it. Eowyn also has some of the knack. Faramir can but not on purpose. ;)

"How can I see it, when it is on my head?" she asks sensibly, amused, her fingers still deftly undoing buttons. "You know full well I am mortal, beloved, nor would be otherwise. That is but the sun lending me some light."

"On the one hand, you are lovely enough that the term maiar could as easily be applied to you, but on the other, I am glad you are as mortal as I so that we can be together like this."

He grins at her as he stays mostly still so as not to impede her work, altho he cannot quite stop tracing fond circles on her hips.

He's way more heroic than he thinks he is. The modesty just keeps getting in the way. ;)

"I do not think it was mere beauty that defined the maiar," she laughs, looking at him fondly. "But I am content to be as I am. Particularly now."

A gift she owes in part to him, and she has not forgotten even if he discounts the part he played in it. Her gaze softens at the thought, as she undoes the last of his buttons and bends over to kiss his chest.

"Well the word does mean 'the beautiful', and I would be quite content to follow in Thingol's footsteps and be spellbound by your beauty for years as the trees grew up around us!"

He muses, shivering with a gasp as she does.

"Would you?" She sounds skeptical, though it does not stop her placing more kisses on his chest, apparently at random. One of her hands strokes down his side, rests at his hip. "To only look at each other for years uncounted, and do nothing else? When instead..."

This time when her hand slides between his legs she lets it linger, cupping him in her fingers through his breeches, squeezing a little.
