Haleth, for once, lays quietly beneath him as he disrobes her. Which is not to say that she is unresponsive. Every bit of skin that is uncovered, he soon covers again with his mouth, every touch draws forth gentle sighs. She strokes at his shoulders and arms softly, whatever is nearby. There is a feeling of worship in this. There often is in the way Caranthir touches her, and that is a thing she has always marvelled at, but it is more clear now than ever.

When he has finally removed the last of her clothing, she firmly pulls him back up and takes a thorough kiss, exploring his mouth with deliberation.

Caranthir comes easily when she pulls, pressing against her and kissing back.

"And will my lady now return the favor?"

"If you will let me up, I will."

Though despite this agreement, when he does sit back she only leans up on her elbows for a moment, so he may view her in full. Her body is compact but full-figured and strong, browned by the sun, her hair falling in loose waves over her shoulders. She smirks up at him, the picture of confidence and allurement.

He chuckles and sits up, clearly admiring the sight of her as she lets him, dark eyes bright.

"Eru Haleth but you are beautiful."

She loves his eyes, the contradiction of them, the way they shine like dark stars. Slowly Haleth sits, then kneels. She lifts a hand to his face and pulls him in for another kiss, slow and deliberate, nibbling at his mouth. It is a few minutes before she bothers to start unlacing his own robes, for she is occupied.

His eyes follow her the whole time, hungry, and he leans into the kiss, teasing her with little swipes of his tongue.

She chases after his mouth as he teases her, capturing his tongue whenever it darts away, keeping them connected. Her hands meanwhile make quick work of all his ties, and she slides the rich fabric over his shoulders, running her palms down his skin as she does it.

He makes an approving noise as she slides the fabric off, shrugging his shoulders to help her along, chasing kisses the whole time.

Haleth shifts position until she is on her knees, then brushes feather-light along his jaw, his upper neck, up to his ear. She scatters more such kisses on his earlobe, the tip, the hollow space behind.

He sighs, softly, almost purring under her lips, his hands reaching for her in turn, tangling in her hair and tracing teasing patterns across her back.

There is a lightness in him, an ease that was never present before, and Haleth is much pleased by it. There used to by a slight edge of desperation in the way he would hold her, as though she were a bulwark against the Dark. But now there is no need for protection, no silent edge to their enjoyment of each other.

Her breath is warm in his ear, a silent chuckle followed by a sharp intake of breath as his fingers dance along her lower back, which is always sensitive to touch. She nibbles delicately at his earlobe in response.

She had been his light, brief and soon lost, a shield against the oncoming night. But now she is bright still and he is free, and there is none of the long tension of long ago, and he huffs, tilting his head into her nibbles and his teasing fingers add the edge of nails, remembering how she liked his teeth, once.

She makes a small, needy sound at the scrape of nails, arching against the touch. Her lips brush against his ear more by accident than design, in her distraction.

He shivers at her lips, turning to capture her lips and kiss her soundly, teasing her by alternating scratches with lighter touches.

She returns the kiss in kind, wrapping her arms around his neck so she can play with his hair as he plays with her back. This is a very slow build-up for them, but that feels appropriate given the day's events. It is a wonder, to for the first time feel that there is no time, no limit, no ending in store...Haleth makes that noise again as his fingers caress the small of her back, and she buries her hands in his hair, wrapping it around her fists. "My Caranthir," she whispers into the kiss, claiming him in words as she never has done, for he never was hers before, not wholly. Not with the Oath hounding him.

They have all the time they need, and no demands on either of them, and he drops his head to nip along her neck, remembering how much she liked that.

"My Haleth." He agrees, all but purring.

She hisses, loving the mixed sharpness and softness as he moves his mouth up her neck. Between her hissed breath and his rumbly purrs they sound like a pair of cats more than anything, but her laughter at that thought is cut off by another press of teeth on her throat. She tilts her head further up. "Yours."

Another thing she has never said, for she was not free to give herself as wholly as she is now.

"Yours." He agrees, nibbling and trying to remember exactly the level of pressure she liked.

She thrives on all of it, evidently, reacting to both light and sharper touches with the enthusiasm of a cat being caressed, all but purring as she stretches against him. Her nails scrape lightly down his arm.

So very very different, now they are able to be indulgent and slow, and he nibbles up and down her neck before switching sides to tend to both, settling on biting playfully at the corner of her neck and shoulder.

Haleth willingly tilts her neck or shifts so he may access whatever part of her he wishes, and chuckles when he settles her shoulder. There is a sharp intake of breath at the press of his teeth. "Do you wish to mark me?" she asks, teasing a little. "Hardly needed, after this morning's ceremony..."

She caresses his leg with her left hand, the metal of her wedding ring warmed by their body heat.

He pulls away and raises an eyebrow at her.

"Would you prefer to mark me instead?" He teases

Haleth grins fiercely. "I will claim you however you will permit," she says, and moves so she is sitting in his lap, her legs wrapped around his waist. She strokes his hair with teasing fingers, then fists her hand around a long, thick length of it, wrapping the dark strands around her fist and using it to leverage his face closer to hers. "My elf."

He hisses a little as she tugs, but it's a pleased sound, not an angry one.

"My human." He agrees and kisses her.

Their kisses are gaining a little in heat now, more so now that she straddles him and can feel is growing need for her trapped between them. Her hand is still fisted in his hair, and she uses it to pull his head to the side that she may kiss his neck, nipping lightly, then sucking hard. If Caranthir wishes a mark, a mark he shall have. A small point of savagery in this paradise they now occupy.
