[He loves Steve for so many reasons, not the least of which is his optimism. He used to be optimistic, too, but the war and HYDRA had ground it out of him almost entirely. He finds himself studying Steve intently, gaze scanning him for signs of injuries or even stress, but the bright smile that's directed at him sums up that for now, at least, he's okay.
