It takes Eowyn many minutes, it seems, before she comes back to herself and time begins to flow once more. When it does she is surprised to find there are tears in her eyes. Even so she is radiant as she returns his kiss, quiet and intent, deeply moved. She strokes his back, holding him as he rests atop her body, loving the weight of him. Perhaps in time it may become uncomfortable, but for now she is entirely content.
