She hums a little at the kiss, smiling back sweetly. It is nice indeed, she decides as she helps herself to some bread and meat as well, listening to Faramir's soothing voice as he talks, occasionally tipping her own head to rest affectionately against his as they sate their hunger.
"Oh, yes? Sounds like she was a sweet lady." Éowyn smiles, always happy to learn more of his childhood and to hear him remember Boromir with such fondness rather than sadness. She chuckles at the question, nodding her head and indulgently feeding him a small morsel of cheese with a piece of apple in exchange for the glass of water.
"You would be right. Helga has been the cook here since I can remember, and we -- myself, Éomer and Théodred -- thought it great fun as children to sneak treats out of the kitchens when her back was turned. Those honeycakes, especially! None of us could resist those." She breathes another little laugh and takes a bite out of an apple wedge. "Each time she would huff and puff and threaten to throw us all into Snowbourn by the scruff if she caught us doing it again, but I saw her hiding a smile at our antics. Like I said, she never held onto her ire for long."
