Éowyn tightens her hold on him as in return, exhaling a deep, shuddering breath. It is as if he is pulling out every feeling that her own heart also houses and giving it form in words.

"I said in one of my letters to you the rebuilding and renewal here is part of Éomer's legacy, rather than mine-- though I take joy and feel pride in everything we have accomplished already. And yet I feel as if I stand on the outside, looking in on it all. It is well, however. Part of me will always belong here amidst these wild plains, but I know that this is no longer my place."
Carefully, she lifts her head from his shoulder enough to look him in the eyes, smiling softly. "You are home to me now, Faramir."
