His smile turns rueful. "As are my cousins, though they may have less altruistic motives, I suspect. They spent the entire journey here teasing me without mercy, for my mooncalfing. I trust they will be more restrained with you, but if they are not, we may need to find allies. I am sure Merry and Pippin would oblige us."
